Following a signed March 3, 2014 in Brussels, Tunisia and the European Union joint statement formally established a "mobility partnership". Among the initiatives that will result from the implementation of this new partnership, Tunisia and the European Union will begin negotiations on an agreement to facilitate the procedures for issuing visas.
The participants in this partnership are ten in number, namely Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
